On The Panama Canal Tour, we’ll visit the Miraflores Visitor Center, where visitors have the opportunity to observe transiting vessels from a distance of only a few meters and learn first hand about the various operations of the Panama Canal, the history of its construction, its participation in the world markets, and the importance of its watershed.
During our tour, we’ll also go to the Casco Antiguo and enjoy walking along alleys and colonial buildings, ruins, and streets of stone, museums and antique churches, where three styles of construction are combined: Spanish, French and Italian: and visit the Causeway of Amador where we’ll have lunch.
The Casco Viejo is considered a historical Heritage and is one of the most emblematic places in Panama City, surrounded by walls as a security measure was home to more than 300 Spanish families with high resources, who took advantage of its strategic position as a peninsula, for attacks by English and French enemies
