The Comarca Emberá is an important part of the culture and Panamanian folklore. It is located across Panama Isthmus concentrated in the province of Darién: in the districts of Chepigana and Pinogana.
According to the last census registered, it has a population of approximately 9,544 inhabitants.
They usually build huts without walls made of straw for their home, they have a small elevation in the ground built of wood to protect themselves from the animals of the jungle since these are mainly found on the banks of the rivers.
